National Petroleum Investment Company of Oman OQ has celebrated the first anniversary of listing of its securities on the London Stock Exchange. OQ bonds were first registered at London Stock Exchange in May 2021 in a bid to enhance the Omani group’s presence in local and international petrochemicals and alternative energy arenas. The listing will provide comprehensive solutions for OQ in the world energy markets.
The listing of OQ bonds seeks to meet funding requirements. The move validates the confidence accorded to OQ as a global energy representative catering to international investors. In its March bond offering, OQ issued $750 million-worth of bonds rated BB by Fitch, as well as having a fourfold increase in the subscription volume. This bond was offered at a rate of 5.125% over a period of seven years and had a maturity date at the end of that period.
