The Ministry of Health of the Sultanate of Oman celebrated International Nurses Day yesterday (May 12). In honor of World Nurses Day, the theme for this year is Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Invest in Nursing and Respect Human Rights. Another event was held under the patronage of Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al Ajmi, the Ministry of Health’s Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial, and Planning Affairs.
The purpose of the event was to motivate nurses to make more efforts in ensuring that the care they were providing to patients was of a higher quality. Furthermore, it was to motivate them to exert even greater efforts. This is something that will positively affect the quality of health care in Oman, as stated by Oman Vision 2040.
