Counsellor Sulaiman Mohammed Sulaiman Al-Anbar has presented his credentials to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who will now be the Permanent Observer of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States at the United Nations. The Secretary-General congratulated Al-Anbar on his appointment, wished him success in his mission to strengthen the process of joint Gulf action, and hoped for continued cooperation between the UN and GCC.
Anbar expressed appreciation to the UN Secretary-General, stressing his desire to promote and develop cooperation wherever possible. Aware of the ties, common characteristics, and similar religious systems based on Islam that bind the GCC countries together, the GCC works to facilitate coordination, cooperation, and integration in all fields to serve the sublime objectives of the Arab Nations.
